Fruit Cocktail Cake from Vicki Frohna
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large can drained fruit cocktail
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in order given and mix with an electric mixer
  2. Pour into ungreased oblong pan (9x13")
  3. Mix brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon and sprinkle over cake
  4. Bake at 325° for 40-45 minutes
Notes
Recipe notes at the end: "Cool whip topping is good as a topping."
